MSW Research Clarifies Data Privacy, AI Use, Training and Non-Use of Synthetic Data for Creative Gauge AI™

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MSW Research today reaffirmed its commitment to client data privacy, clarifying how its Creative Gauge AI platform is trained, what data it does and does not use as well as non-use of any synthetic data.

As concerns grow across the research and advertising industries about the use of client data to train artificial intelligence systems and the use of synthetic data, MSW is making its position explicit: Creative Gauge AI is not trained on client owned or respondent level data and does not use synthetic data.

Creative Gauge AI is built on MSW’s proprietary creative content database, proprietary Instructional Engineering and Prompt Architecture, and modeling expertise.

Ads including Video, Print, and Digital evaluated by MSW have been systematically coded by trained MSW analysts for the presence, absence, and prominence of more than 150 creative content elements. That coding framework and taxonomy are MSW intellectual property.

Those coded creative elements were modeled, at the aggregate ad level, against validated outcome measures such as Brand Preference and breakthrough. The modeling was performed on aggregated results, not on individual respondent level data and within specifically controlled datasets.

Meadow™, the AI engine powering Creative Gauge AI, was trained with Instructional Engineering and Prompt Architecture that is the codification of decades of human coding logic into machine-readable instructions.  This is what enables Meadow to replicate the decisions of MSW’s human coders consistently and objectively.

Meadow was not trained on client owned raw survey datasets, and it does not use client data to retrain itself.

“Our clients own their data.” said Art Klein, CEO of MSW Research. “We own our methodology, our Prompt Architecture, and our modeling expertise and the AI. There is a clear separation between client data ownership and the intellectual property that powers Creative Gauge AI.”

In an environment where data governance and AI transparency are increasingly under scrutiny, MSW Research believes clarity is essential. Creative Gauge AI was designed from the outset to respect client ownership, maintain strict data boundaries, and preserve the integrity of our work.
